VakInvest 86
Turning a contractor's credentials into a prequalification asset — references, plant and certificates, structured and kept current by the team themselves.
ВАК ИНВЕСТ 86 is a construction contractor that wins work by prequalification — references, plant and certificates decide who reaches the tender list. We designed the site and the content model behind it, so the credentials that win contracts stay structured and current, maintained by the team themselves rather than by us.

Contractors are not chosen by marketing — they are prequalified
Construction is not won on brand. Margins on СМР work are thin enough that awards turn on evidence: is the firm registered with the chamber, are the ISO certificates current, does it own its plant or rent it, and can it show comparable completed projects. A developer or main contractor shortlisting a subcontractor is performing due diligence, and the website is the first document in that process.
VakInvest had the substance and no structure for it. Several self-performed service lines — design, electrical & plumbing, finishing works, insulation, road construction — a fleet of owned heavy machinery, and a growing portfolio of delivered projects, all of it living in someone's email and reassembled by hand for every tender. Owned plant in particular is a signal worth publishing: it says capacity is in-house rather than sublet, which is precisely what de-risks an award.
The failure point was staleness. Credentials expire, the fleet changes, and a certificate list is worthless the day it is out of date — so the material had to stay maintainable by the team themselves, in Bulgarian, without waiting on anyone. It also had to hold its shape under that maintenance: services, projects, machinery and certificates behaving the same way every time, so the evidence stays presentable without supervision rather than drifting a little with every update.
What we owned, end to end
Our mission was to turn a multi-line contractor's credentials into a structured, self-maintained asset — designed and built from scratch, with services, projects, plant and certificates each given a real shape so the team keeps the evidence pack current themselves. Built to be updated by site staff between tenders, not by an agency on retainer.

Structured content, a clean brand, zero bloat
An 8-section homepage carries the hero slider and the top-line capability claims. Five service pages share a sticky services sidebar, so a visitor scoping one trade discovers the adjacent ones — the mechanism by which a specialist enquiry becomes a larger scope of works.
A filterable Проекти portfolio with a gallery lightbox is how a prospect finds the comparable reference they came for instead of scrolling past it. The certificates page deliberately separates ISO certification from chamber credentials, because they answer different questions in a prequalification review and get checked by different people.
The identity — navy and teal, Montserrat headings over Inter body — is calibrated to read as credible and institutional rather than promotional.
In a sector where the reader is assessing risk, restraint converts better than persuasion.
the design principle
An evidence pack that maintains itself
The credentials that decide an award now live in one structured, current place. The team runs services, delivered projects, plant and certificates themselves — so the reference portfolio grows with the work instead of being reassembled the night before a submission.
